Giedrė Kaminskaitė-Salters, Head of Telia in the Baltics, co-founded the Total Defence Association with like-minded individuals this summer and now serves on its Board. The association aims to adopt a Finnish-style total defence model in Lithuania by 2030. This includes ensuring that 70% of Lithuanians understand their role in a crisis or war, 50% have a specific plan for the first 72 hours, half of companies and organisations are prepared for total defence, and universal conscription is implemented. At the LŪŽIO TAŠKAS/TIPPING POINT conference, Kaminskaitė-Salters and other entrepreneurs dedicated to bolstering Lithuania’s defence will present their strategies. She will be joined by Mantas Mikuckas, Co-Founder of Vinted and Chairman of the Total Defence Association’s Board, and Arnas Stuopelis, Founder of Hostinger and a member of the Association’s Board. The discussion will be moderated by Edmudas Jakilaitis, journalist, Head of the Strong Together organisation, and a Board member of the Association.
