Edmundas Jakilaitis, a journalist and leader of the Strong Together organization, co-founded the Total Defence Association with like-minded individuals this summer and now sits on its Board. The goal of the association is to implement a Finnish-style total defence model in Lithuania by 2030. This plan includes ensuring that 70% of Lithuanians understand their roles during a crisis or war, 50% have a detailed plan for the initial 72 hours, half of the companies and organizations are prepared for total defence, and universal conscription is established. At the LŪŽIO TAŠKAS/TIPPING POINT conference, Jakilaitis will moderate a discussion featuring entrepreneurs committed to strengthening Lithuania’s defence. He will be joined by Mantas Mikuckas, Co-Founder of Vinted and Chair of the Total Defence Association’s Board, along with Arnas Stuopelis, Founder of Hostinger, and Giedrė Kaminskaitė-Salters, Head of Telia in the Baltics.
