Wolfgang Münchau

Wolfgang Münchau The founder of Eurointelligence.com

Wolfgang Münchau is a seasoned expert on the politics and the economy of the EU and a regular columnist at the New Statesman. He was the European economic columnist at the Financial Times from 2003 until 2020, and previously editor of FT Deutschland. A mathematician by education and a journalist by training, he knows how to identify the essence of complex processes and explain them in an understandable way to different audiences. For example: what are the physical and emotional bonds that prevent Germany from a more resolute reaction to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine? What are those bonds that imply the rhythm of Zeitenwende on the entire European continent?
